UPA series Mobile circuit breaker testing systems

Mobile systems of the UPA series are designed to test the tripping characteristics of AC circuit breakers with electromagnetic and thermal releases. The maximum test current that can be provided by UPA installations is: UPA-1 - 1 kA UPA-3 - 3 kA UPA-6 - 6 kA UPA-10 - 10 kA UPA-16 - 16 kA UPA-20 - 20 kA CHECK TIME -CURRENT CHARACTERISTICS UPA systems can be used to check the time-current characteristics of circuit breakers (when using an external voltage regulator) in accordance with GOST R 50345-2010 (IEC 60898-1: 2019) or IEC 60934: 2019. COMPREHENSIVE INSPECTION OF CIRCUIT BREAKERS UPA systems can be used for operational preliminary testing of release devices, full-fledged reading of time-current characteristics, as well as checking the influence of a single-pole load on the tripping characteristic of a multi-pole circuit breaker. FIXED CURRENT DURATION UPA systems allow testing both in a long cycle and with a fixed duration of the current flow. The quick disconnect allows a short-time test current of up to 50 ms. HIGH EFFICIENCY CURRENT SOURCE The test current source is a lightweight and compact toroidal transformer with high efficiency. The strength of the output current is regulated by the number and turns of flexible conductors, which are passed through a toroidal transformer, forming a secondary winding. This solution allows a wide range of output currents to be obtained using just one source. SAFE LAYOUT All UPA systems include two main modules - a control unit and a power source, complete with the necessary set of connecting cables. The remote power source solution allows the operator to stay at a safe distance from the power transformer and circuit breaker under test. MOBILITY All modules of the UPA series are individually portable, but supplied on a trolley as standard for easy transport. The cart's narrow wheelbase is ideal for delivery and system deployment in small distribution rooms.
