Description
We present the solution for the automation of drilling and blasting operations: the VG Drill system is an automated control system for drilling and blasting operations.
Goals and effect of implementation:
* Increase the productivity of drilling rigs due to reduced downtime and prompt guidance to the well
Improving the quality of drilling due to operational control of the parameters and compliance with the grid
* increase the efficiency and efficiency of designing mass explosions in quarries
* Reducing the consumption of explosives, improving the quality of the explosion by optimizing the arrangement of wells and rational distribution of borehole charges
* Increase the productivity of specialists in the design of drilling and blasting operations by reducing the proportion of manual labor during routine and labor-intensive operations
The key elements of the system are:
* Equipment for high-precision navigation GPS \ GLONASS Trimble, ensuring accuracy of guidance of the drilling rig to the well up to 10 cm;
* A system of sensors that continuously collect information about drilling parameters (axial pressure, mixture pressure, speed and torque of the drill, etc.);
* remote monitor.
According to the information received from drilling rigs, various reports about the work of the machine are being built, and it also becomes possible to update the geological model of the quarry according to the actual data.
The transfer of precise information about the drilling site to the on-board computer of the drilling rig operator, together with the use of the high-precision navigation system, also allows to eliminate the problem of carrying out poor-quality drilling and blasting operations - a large number of oversized ones. The presence of oversize drilling and blasting leads to additional costs for crushing the rock and stopping the production processes.
Low-quality drilling and blasting operations occur due to inaccurate guidance of the drilling rig and incorrect initiation of the explosion, and for a qualitative explosion, a well-charging project is needed that takes into account not only the actual coordinates of the wellheads and its slope, but also the strength characteristics of the rocks measured during drilling.
Using the VG Drill system allows you to obtain a three-dimensional binding of the measured values. Designers of drilling and blasting operations have the opportunity to design the charging of wells taking into account the strength of individual layers.
A more accurate calculation and subsequent distribution of the charge along the well, together with a more accurate calculation of the initiation of the explosion, can significantly reduce the number of oversized bulbs while saving explosives, and minimize the harmful impact on the environment.
The system can work as part of the Automated Control System of the GTK Quarry, or it can be used separately on drilling rigs of various types and manufacturers (SBS, Atlas Copco, Sandvic, Bucyrus, etc.).
